While most players will
never have the opportunity to try and take down a big name pro or make “fancyâ€Â
poker moves in front of a TV camera, far too many people still let their egos
get in the way of playing solid poker. Once that happens, they lose sight of
their long-term goals and start playing for purposes other than winning.
A group of
my fellow Full Tilt Poker pros and I recently completed a tour of Germany where
we got to spend a lot of time interacting with a whole new generation of players
from around the country. What I noticed along the way - aside from the
incredible enthusiasm for the game - is that many of these players are very
technically sound, but lack the real-life game experience to use their
knowledge creatively.
