“Zappa Plays Zappaâ€Â, an extraordinary live musical show devoted to performing the music of the American composer and musician Frank Zappa, will shake the Las Vegas audience with a high dose of psychedelic rock and musical pieces composed by one of the most prolific and unusual musicians of the 20th century. The show will take place on Friday, February 27th at the House of Blues inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

Zappa Plays Zappa, which recently won a Grammy for best instrumental rock performance for their interpretation  of "Peaches En Regalia", will present a compilation of Frank Zappa's rock-oriented compositions performed by Dweezil Zappa, oldest son of Frank Zappa and lead guitar player as well as members of Zappa’s ensemble, including guitarist Ray White and Sax player Napoleon Murphy and other younger and talented musicians such as the keyboard and trumpet player Aaron Arntz and percussionists Billy Hulting and Joe Travers. The show promises material never performed by the band, as well as some of their favorite tunes from previous tours, including “Call Any Vegetableâ€Â, “Florentine Pogenâ€Â, “Cosmik Debrisâ€Â, “I’m The Slimeâ€Â, “Pound For A Brownâ€Â. “Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow†and “Punky’s Whipsâ€Â

After more than three decades of career, more than 1000 written and over 80 official albums, Frank Zappa is considered one of the most original, creative and underrated composers in rock history, an even when Zappa’s music rarely plays on the radio or the television, his work has gained recognition as some of the most fearless and challenging music ever written. An now, Dweezil Zappa and company have decided to keep Zappa’s legacy alive by introducing the audience to his unusual and eclectic music approach.
