Comparing to the U.S Poker market,  poker is still at the beginning of its popularity in Europe, especially ‘Live Poker’. Tournament series and the poker industries grow in a small and slow way. No wonder that workshop, seminars etc. are in their first steps as well. Some companies offer such workshops, but this is not comparable with the U.S.

Therefore the WSOPAcademy offers a workshop with the headline “No Limit Hold’em Advanced Academy”. It will take place at the 18th and 19th of April 2008 at the CaesarsPalace in Las Vegas. The participants should be as the headline said advanced players with experiences and ambitions in tournament play. The content is about No-Limit Hold'em, especially the Preflop-Game, Winning-Cashgame-Strategies and Heads-Up-Strategies. It costs $1.999,-, but you get a lot of stuff to learn. Hosts of this event are some well known poker stars. Besides Annie Duke, she was the host of the Ladies-Only-Workshop, her brother Howard Lederer, Paul Wasicka, Phil Gordon and Andy Bloch are going to appear as lecturers.

The workshop gives the opportunity to learn some theoretical contents as well as the practice side of the game. The winner of the tournament receive a seat at the 2008 WSOP Main Event. For all of you who are interested, but cannot afford the $2000, WSOP gives you the possibility for a WSOPAcademy scholarship.
