WPT removes the Borgata Poker Classic from Season VII

Officials from both the WPT and Borgata have confirmed that the Borgata Poker Classic, also called “Winter Openâ€Â, has been taken out from World Poker Tour Season VII schedule. But even when the popular poker tournament is no longer an official World Poker Tour event; the Poker Classic will run from January 25th to 29th, 2009. Players can also take part in the Winter Open Super Satellite held on Sunday, December 7th, and play for one of the $20,000 prize package which includes a $3,200 buy-in to the Borgata Poker Open Main Event as well as $16,800 in cash.
