WEC 50 weigh-ins scheduled for August 17th at Palms Resort

Officials of the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) have announced that weigh-ins for "WEC 50: Cruz vs. Benavidez," will be held on Tuesday, August 17th at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
The event, which are free and open to the public, will take place specifically inside the Key West Ballroom. Doors to the event open at 3:00 p.m. Local time (6:00 p.m. ET), and the first fighter hits the scale at 4:00 p.m. (7:00 pm ET). Among the fighters stated to hit the scale are WEC 50 headliner and WEC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and challenger Joseph Benavidez, as well as lightweight co-headliners Anthony Pettis and Shane Roller, featherweight contenders Urijah Faber and Takeya Mizugaki, Poland born fighter Bart Palaszewski and undefeated Zachary Micklewright .
WEC 50: Cruz vs. Benavidez is scheduled to take place on August 18th, 2010 at The Pearl Concert Theater at The Palms Resort. The event marks WEC's first visit to Las Vegas since WEC 45 in December 2009 and will also be aired on the Versus channel.
