The final table of the $50,000 World Championship H.O.R.S.E, the event considered by many players and experts as the true benchmark of the world's most complete poker player, is set to get underway this Tuesday at 21:00 GMT, and online players and poker fans around the globe will have the chance to follow all the action live and exclusively at PKR.com's very own WSOP micro site.
H.O.R.S.E sees players battle it out across a range of five different variations; Hold'em, Omaha, Razz, Stud and Eight or better, making it the most unique and interesting event in the World Series of Poker schedule, and ensuring only the most well rounded player can take the converted first prize along with the David 'Chip' Reese trophy, named in honor the former winner who died in 2007. Notable players eliminated during the curse of the event include Freddy Debb, Patrik Antonius, Hasan Habib, Justin Smith, and Scotty Nguyen.
The tournament, which is likely to be the most exciting and intense H.O.R.S.E tournaments in the history of the WSOP, kicked off on Friday, June 26th and is now down to 19 players, including the eight-time WSOP bracelet winner Eric Seidel, 2009 World Series hotshot Vitaly Lunkin, Gus Hansen and Ville Wahlbeck.
No doubt set to be the most popular event of PKR.com's hugely successful 2009 World Series of Poker final table broadcasts, last year's H.O.R.S.E coverage reported an audience of over 200,000 viewers watching the final table and that figure looks sure to be even bigger this time around.
"For me there's no more exciting event to watch than the H.O.R.S.E. Last year's event final table was one of the most thrilling I have ever watched, but looking at the players left this time around I would go as far to say that this one promises to be even better. I personally cannot wait." said PKR Marketing Director, Simon Prodger.
