Vegas 'Phantom' performer organizes benefit concert to launch first solo album

LasVegas Phantom actor and performer, Jason Forbach, will perform a benefit concert to launch his first solo album called “A New Leading Man”, which will be available to the public the day of the show. The charity concert in benefit of Promise of Las Vegas will be performed January 24th, 2009, at the Flamingo Library Theater. Family Promise of Las Vegas is a non profit organization that deals specifically with homeless families in the Las Vegas valley. All ticket holders will receive a copy of Forbach's debut album plus a promotional ticket discount to see Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular at the Venetian Resort and Casino. Additional donations to Family Promise can also be made the day of the concert.

Forbach’s debut album features songs originally performed by leading male characters and featured in musical theater plays such as “Spring Awakening”. “Alive at Ten”, “The Sweet Smell of Success”, “Here I Am” and other. The album’s instrumentation and musical arrangements were performed by the musical director and famous Las Vegas jazz musician, Joey Singer. The concert will be conducted by Phantom’s assistant conductor and musical director William Waldrop, and will feature several Phantom cast members as well as choreography direction provided by Courtney Combs.

"The concert will be mostly songs from the album and possibly other songs in the same theme of the album that I wasn't able to record. The exact song list has yet to be ironed out." said Forbach in an interview given to the theater and musical news site Playbill.com.
