Vegas nightclubs get top nominations in 2010 Nightclub & Bar Awards
Nightclub & Bar Magazine ha announced the list of nominees for the 2010 Nightclub and Bar Awards, and several Las Vegas nightclubs,
lounges, properties and bars are among the to finalists for awards
such as Best New Club and the Best Mega-Club of the Year.
Formerly known as the Five Star Awards, the Nightclub & Bar Awards honors outstanding operators, for their excellence in on-premise concepts, programs, talent and professionalism. Entries are submitted by owners, operators and managers, as well as suppliers, vendors and other industry members.
XS Nightclub was mentioned among the nominations for best New Club of the Year and Best Mega Club of the Year along with Rain. Lavo, Tao and Tryst Nightclub are also in the list for best Nightclub of the Year. In addition, Paul Oakenfold and his “Perfecto Vegas†at Rain Nightclub received nominations for Ongoin Promotion of the Year and Best Residen DJ's. Other venues mentioned in the 2010 Nightclub & Bar Awards list include Blush Boutique Lounge (Ultra-Lounge of the Year), Frankie’s Tiki Room Las Vegas (Cocktail Lounge of the Year), Blondie’s Sports Bar & Gril (Sports Bar of the Year) and Tao Nightclub, Hard Rock’s Rehab and Palms Resort and Casino for Single Promotion of the Year.
Winners will be awarded at a VIP reception scheduled on Wednesday, March 10 at 8 p.m. at Lavo inside the Palazzo Resort and Casino Las Vegas during the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show.
“We were overwhelmed by the number of entries received and excited by the caliber of the entries. Our stellar panel of judges had to make some tough decisions! We can’t wait to honor the winners during the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas in March.â€Â said Donna Hood Crecca, editorial director of Nightclub & Bar.
