Ultimate Fighting Championship adds new bouts to UFC126 card

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has confirmed five more fights for the UFC126: Silva vs. Belfort event set to take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on Super Bowl Weekend (February 5th, 2011).

The fight card is headlined by a middleweight championship bout featuring Brazilian fighters Anderson Silva and challenger Vitor Belfort. The co-main event will pitting former light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin and Rich Franklin and Jon Jones vs. Ryan Bader.

Other fights confirmed for the UFC 126 card include Japanese MMA veteran Michihiro Omigawa in his UFC return vs. Chad Mendes, as well as Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto vs. Demetrious Johnson. The Main Card will also present a bantamweight fight between Miguel Torres and Antonio Banuelos as well as lightweights Paul Kelly vs. Sam Stout.

Other bouts confirmed by the UFC include Paul Taylor vs. Gabe Ruediger, as well as Mike Pierce vs. UFC newcomer Kenny Robertson.
