UFC 125: Resolution coming to Las Vegas for special New Years Day event

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will ring in the New Year in Las Vegas with UFC 125: Resolution, a spectacular event scheduled on New Years Day and presenting a long expected re match between UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard in a championship main event.
UFC 125: Resolution will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on January 1st, 2011. In addition to Edgar vs. Maynard , the event's fight card will be co-headlined by former UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion Shane Carwin vs. The Ultimate Fighter winner Roy “Big Country†Nelson. Featured bouts also include Clay “The Carpenter†Guida vs. former Pride lightweight champion Takanori Gomi, Chris Leben vs. Brian Stann, Nate Diaz vs. Dong Hyun Kim and Brandon Vera vs. Thiago Silva.
“We always put a huge card together in Vegas to kick off the New Year. As the main event for UFC 125, defending UFC Champion Frankie Edgar is going to take on Gray Maynard who is the only fighter ever to beat him. In the co-main event it’s a heavyweight war with Shane Carwin vs. Roy Nelson, plus Clay Guida vs. Takanori Gomi and Chris Leben vs. Brian Stann – this is going to be a killer start to 2011.†said UFC President Dana White.
UFC 125: Resolution will be broadcast live on Pay-Per-View on In Demand, Direct TV, Dish Network, TVN, BellTV, Shaw Communications, Sasktel, and Viewer’s Choice Canada for a suggested retail price of $44.99 US/$49.99 CAN.
