Tropicana Las Vegas names new President
Tropicana Entertainment has recently announced its decision to name Ron Thacker, a experienced gaming and casino executive, President of Tropicana Las Vegas casino and resort. Thacker will report to the Tropicana’s COO Robert Yee and will supervise and manage all property operations pending for their proper regulatory approval.
Mr. Thacker counts with more three decades of experience working in the gaming industry, most recently as Vice President of Casino Operations at Fontainebleau Resorts where he was in charge of re designing the casino, as well as other areas such as systems implementation an the daily and general casino operations. Thacker resume also includes several executive positions at the Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino, Flamingo Las Vegas, Casino Windsor and Flamingo Hilton Kansas City.
"Ron brings a wealth of resort, hotel and gaming experience to his position at the Tropicana Las Vegas. We are thrilled to have him on our team and eager to employ his extensive working knowledge of the casino gaming business." said Tropicana’s COO Robert Yee.
In
addition, Tropicana Entertainment, LLC also announced that Richard L. Baldwin
has been appointed the company’s vice president, chief financial officer and
treasurer. Baldwin, who served in a similar capacity for three years with
Shuffle Master Gaming, replaces Robert Kocienski, who resigned this week to
pursue personal interests.
