Since Kentucky’s Gov. Steve Beshear launched a legal campaign looking to seize more than 140 domain names related to online gaming sites, things are getting extremely complicated for online poker players residing in the state of Kentucky. Several online gaming sites and poker rooms have started restricting Kentucky residents as a way to prevent their business from getting into any legal problems with the state’s legislators, and most recently, the Tokwiro Enterprises, Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet owner and operator, has released an statement informing that all Kentucky residents won’t be able to access any of their sites.

Tokwiro announced that in order to comply with the Franklin County Circuit Court’s recent decision, they will start restricting access to all Kentucky residents from both .net and .com sites as well as from utlimatebet.tv site.  With this move, Tokwiro is looking to keep both companies away from legal troubles in Kentucky and avoid any problems that can put both operations in risk, including losing their domain names.

“We regret to inform you that, effective immediately, AbsolutePoker.com is no longer available to Kentucky residents. This means that you will not be able to access our website and software from within the state boundaries of Kentucky.” stated Absolute Poker in an e-mail sent to its all its players at the beginning of this week.

The block will become effective this week and will prevent customers from Kentucky from playing, logging in or registering new accounts at both online poker sites, making deposits, and transferring or getting funds from other accounts. However, the IP Block will let Kentucky residents to request payouts or withdrawal all their funds.

“We have taken this action in order to ensure that the vast number of our customers, who do not reside in Kentucky, continue to have access to our sites and to enjoy “ said Paul Leggett, Tokwiro’s Chief Operating Officer.
