Tichelman wins WSOP Circuit Tunica Championship-Event

Bart Tichelman is the winner of the $7,500 World Series of Poker Circuit main event that took place at the Grand Casino in Tunica. This is Tichelman’s first major cash playing poker, he won the WSOP Circuit ring and $415,595 after he survived a battle that lasted ten excruciating hours and involved a total of 179 other players.

With only nine players left, Tichelman was second in the chip leader board with a total of 164,000 when the final table started. The chip leader was John Devia, who had 929,500 in total, Devia finished in fourth place after losing with the actual champion.

Bart's way to win the tournament became clearer after the two bracelet winners were eliminated from the table in eighth, and seventh place. Tichelman declared that he is a relatively inexperienced poker player and that he was helped by the knowledge gained from the people in his management job. Tichelman is married and has two kids and his other pastimes include golf and car racing. This is his first Circuit, which he got playing in a mega-satellite.
