Think you get alot of bad beats?
- 6-9-2008
So, we have all had them, bad beats. They are a
part of poker, a tough part of poker to accept. What happens when your quad 8's
lose to quad 9's, or your straight flush loses to a royal flush? Well other
than you throwing your keyboard, what if you won a jackpot? This is what PartyPoker.com
has to offer:.
PartyPoker has bad beat jackpot tables, in which 50 cents from each raked hand goes towards the jackpot, this usually amounts to $1000 added to the jackpot every hour! The last jackpot hit was just over $100,000, and it was only on last Thursday! The jackpot right now is also at $100,000, and the biggest I have ever seen it get to was $550,000! So if you want your share, here is how to get it:
Now, 70% of the jackpot is distributed, 20% goes towards the new jackpot as a starter, and 10% goes for an administrative fee. Now the 70% is divided like such. 50% will go to the loser of the hand, 25% will go to the winner, and the remaining 25% will be divided evenly amongst the remaining players who were part of the hand.
However there are some requirements for the bad beat jackpot to be won:

- It must be played at the jackpot table.
- 4 players must be dealt in the hand.
- The losing hand must contain four 8's or better.
- The hand must be raked.
- You cannot tell the other players to call in order to provoke the jackpot.
