The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to open 2010 Drag Racing Season with two exciting NHRA events

The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will begin the 2010 drag racing season with a two special weekend events featuring the best NHRA racers in over 10 different categories.
The season will kick off at LVMS on January 29th with the return of the Nitro Blast-Off Pre-Season Test Session, which offers racers and fans a great opportunity to check and prepare their cars before the aeason-opener event in Pomona, California. The test session at the Strip will bring best in NHRA Top Fuel Dragster, Funny Car and Top Alcohol categories, as well as the top Pro Street and Outlaw 10.5 heads-up cars as part of the PSCA Record-Breaker.
On February 5th and 6th, the Las Vegas Motorspeedway will hold the fifth annual Las Vegas Pro Stock Showdown and the inaugural Las Vegas Supreme Sportsman Series. One week later, the most highly-anticipated event in Sportsman drag racing gets underway with the debut of the Las Vegas Supreme Sportsman Series. The weekend long event will bring participants in Super Comp, Super Gas, Stock/Super Stock Combo, Top Sportsman and Top Dragster categories competing in a two-day event. Along with the Supreme Sportsman Series, the Strip at LVMS also will host the Las Vegas Pro Stock Showdown as well as a Super Po and Pro Bracket elimination.

There's a great variety of cars that will be competing and fans will once again have the opportunity to see why The Strip at LVMS truly is America's greatest drag strip." commented Las Vegas Motor Speedway vice president of racing operations Chris Blair.
