The Real Deal!, the first live interactive poker show will be introduced at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas this fall, according to an statement made by the entertainment industry tycoon Merv Adelson and the Venetian resort. Working shoulder to shoulder with the some of the best poker pros on the planet, the show will establish a new entertainment standard which will include a completely original live show that combines the latest technology and plentiful prizes in an amusing and fast poker action that will keep visitors and poker devotees entertained. Held at The Venetian, the Real Deal! will allow the audience to take part in what happens on the stage without leaving their seats thanks to wireless touch screen devices. The Real Deal! will use a ground-breaking multi-player stage with interactive content in combination with technology developed by TimePlay Entertainment, Inc. Audience members will play both against and side to side with the pros to win points exchangeable for prizes that range from merchandise to the possibility to win the $1 million grand prize.

"The Venetian sets the standard for entertainment in Las Vegas and we are excited to add The Real Deal! to our existing line-up of world-class shows. When looking for a new concept to add to our entertainment lineup, we searched for an entirely new experience that would promote audience participation while incorporating well-known personalities that shine beyond the bright lights of the Strip -- we found that in The Real Deal!." said Jason Gastwirth, vice president of entertainment for Las Vegas Sands Corp.

The Real Deal! list of poker pros includes the legendary Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Jr., Antonio Esfandiari, Gavin Smith, Eli Elezra, Jennifer Harman, Phil Laak, Scotty Nguyen, and Todd Brunson, who combined won a total of eight World Poker Tour Championships, 35 World Series of Poker bracelets and over $48 million in tournament prizes. Casting for the show host is in progress, and the producers are mentioning several comedians as possible candidates to provide the audience with a dynamic combination of humor and poker while keeping the action on the right track.

"Never before has poker been so integrated with entertainment. The popularity of poker is unquestioned, as is the viability of live game show experiences in Las Vegas. The Real Deal! will keep guests laughing and give them the unique chance to get into the heads of the world's best pros as they share tips and strategy throughout the fast-paced game. We know it will quickly become a hot ticket." said Merv Adelson, the inspiration behind The Real Deal!

The audience will also play during the on-stage game with a wireless console. The prizes will be awarded to the participants based on their overall performance; however, The Real Deal! will feature many other ways to win a prize, including the chance to bet on other instances, such as the suit of cards dealt on the flop. Audience members will also have the possibility to draw for a Royal Flush and win $1 million. The Real Deal! will be running six days a week at The Venetian Showroom in Las Vegas, with shows scheduled at 4:00 pm and primetime shows on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Attendants must be 21 years of age or older.

"Poker fans have been able to view and enjoy professional poker action for years on television. This is different. Everyone in the audience can be in the game and compete with the pros and other guests. It is a one of a kind-poker experience." said Doyle Brunson, The Real Deal!'s lead poker professional.
