The House of Blues is one of the more upbeat and newer restaurants in the wonderful city of Las Vegas. There are many other “House of Blues” restaurants and clubs across the United States and the closest to me is located in Orlando, FL, near Universal Studios. Now, first of all you have to know that there are two locations known as “House of Blues” inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, the House of Blues Music Hall, which is an incredibly comfortable venue for the world famous Las Vegas events and music shows and the House of Blues restaurant located right beside the Music Hall.

The House of Blues is an all senses a southern blues/rock themed restaurant, the place has a casual environment and even when it is not one of the classiest or most sophisticated restaurants in the gastronomic kingdom of Las Vegas, the place is a great place for having dinner while you enjoy some live entertainment. House of Blues is a great alternative for visitors looking for a more informal dinner option, a different jazz or rock band performs almost every night, giving the House of Blues a great atmosphere while you take pleasure of the restaurant’s southern style menu. The chicken and steak dinners are popular as turf is the main part of most of the meals; also the House of Blues signature dishes include a series of southern specialties including the Voodoo Shrimp appetizers, Catfish Nuggets, Slow Smoked Tennessee-style Baby Back Ribs, Gumbo, Jambalaya and Cajun and Creole recipes.

The House of Blues is a great alternative for anyone who calls him/herself a music person; HOB has a very wide range of entertainment on a weekly basis that will make sure that you have a pleasant experience, the restaurant features a wide range of events and entertainment, for instance, if you come to the House of Blues on a Monday night, you can participate in some rock n' roll karaoke, but you better be good or you might get booed.  “Godspeed” is another event to where dancing is the focal point of the evening, so dress to impress and rehearse your best steps. “Nothing but the Blues” is an event on Wednesdays in where some of the best blues bands and singers play some soulful music to complement the restaurant’s southern environment.  And if you’re in the mood for something smoother, you can always come on Tuesday and enjoy live acoustic music.  Friday could be the best day with an event called Purple Reign, which is a tribute to the great artist formerly known Prince (Or simply Prince for those who will never understand the music business).
