The Budding Ivey Foundation Charity Poker Tournament

The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino and renowned professional poker player Phil Ivey have joined forces to host The Budding Ivey Foundation Charity Poker Tournament on Tuesday, July 1st. The no-limit Texas Hold'em charity poker event will take place inside the Golden Nugget event center where The Grand Poker Series is currently underway. The event proceeds will benefit the Budding Ivey Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and support to children and their families to ultimately give them a chance to succeed. Empowered 2 Excel gives underprivileged children who qualify academically the opportunity to take part in special educational programs

The suggested donation from participants is $1,000, but there will also be optional $500 re-donations for extra chips during the three 20-minute rounds and a $500 add-on for two times the starting stack. The first place sponsored prize is $10,000
The charity poker tournament will be held in conjunction with the Budding Ivey Game Night Celebration (BIGNC) and the Sixth Annual World Series of Barbecue (WSOB). Players and guests will attend a private party starting at 6:00 p.m. at The Tank, the Golden Nugget's marine life attraction and one of the biggest fish tanks in the world.
The event is also sponsored by poker professionals Steve Zolotow and Howard and Suzie Lederer, The Golden Nugget and in-part by Curtis & Co. Watches, Who's Your Daddy Energy Drink, and Zizzazz. The charity poker tournament is open to the public.
