Star Trek: The Experience attraction returns to Downtown Las Vegas on May 8th

A few months ago, the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and Casino announced its decision to shut the popular Star Trek: The Experience attraction after about 10 year running inside the hotel due contractual problems with CBS and Paramount, owners of Star Trek rights and Cedar Fair, owner of the Star Trek: The Experience.
This left the Star Trek attraction, which featured a
museum, themed restaurant, costumed characters, shopping, and several amusement
rides based on different time frames within the Star Trek series, without a home and definitely without a
future. However, fans that did not get the chance to travel to
The relocated exhibition, which is scheduled to open to the public on May 8th, will contain elements of the old exhibit in the Las Vegas Hilton such as the Quark’s Restaurant and Bar, and a Museum of the Future as well as a new retail shopping. While the attraction will open its doors right on time for the new Star Trek movie directed by J.J. Abrams, it will take time to relocate all the museum artifacts, rides and other attractions into the new venue. The exhibition also has plans to include a series of interactive rides and other attractions by the end of 2010.
