As the school year for many high school seniors winds down, many students are taking the trips of their life to foreign countries.  A popular destination is Nassau, located in the Bahamas.  On the way to Nassau, a cruise ship transports thousands of eager students who are dying for excitement.  One way to find the thrill they are looking for is the cruise's casino.  Since the cruise is in International waters, the legal gambling and drinking age is 18 years old. Although fresh into adulthood, many student teens that travel to Nassau after graduation, are indeed eighteen.  "This creates fun for the students, but sometimes results in kids losing their money for the day. Or even dinner money!" Lacey Glass states.  Just like being able to order a drink from the bar, students eighteen and older are without a doubt able to access gambling excitements.  "The girls play slots, and either hit or miss.  They usually aren't as bad as the guys, who never know when to just leave when they're ahead." says Glass.  

After two days on the cruise, the students make there way into the port of Nassau.  Ready to dock, and find their rooms, once the students enter the Wyndham Nassau Resort more gambling is thrown into their faces.  Attached to the hotel is The Crystal Palace Casino. 

The Bahamas’ casinos are regularly filled with adults who seek enjoyment and relaxation.  However during these grad trips, students become compulsive.  "All they end up doing is drinking and playing cards." Glass reports.  Slots, poker, blackjack, roulette and other games are not at all bad or harmful. However, they can become dangerous if the players only gamble during their whole trip.

For seniors traveling on a graduation trip: don't just gamble you're time away.  Have fun with your friends and party like crazy.  Check out the casinos but don't get attached; all in all, you're much safer that way.
