Roy Englebrecht Promotions brings boxing championship doubleheader event at Las Vegas Hilton

In celebration of the Mexican Bicentennial, Roy Englebrecht Promotions is teaming up with Promociones del Pueblo and Corona Extra, to bring an exciting world championship doubleheader event to the Las Vegas Hilton.
“Viva Mexico at Las Vegas†will take place on Wednesday, September 15th, at the Las Vegas Hilton Theater. The fight card will be headlined by a 12 rounds IBO featherweight title fight featuring Australia’s Jackson Asiku (26-3, 14 Kos) defending his belt against Mexican star and former world champion Johnny Gonzalez (45-7, 39 Kos). The main card will also present a championship match for the vacant IBO super featherweight title, Mexico City’s Juan Carlos Salgado (22-1-1, 16 KOs) and Michigan’s Tyrone Harris (24-6-16KOS).
The six bout card also features a 10 round IBO junior super featherweight title bout between Ciudad Juarez’s Miguel Roman (30-7-22Kos) and Las Vegas top prospect Lonnie Smith (11-2-8Kos). The undercard action will present a heavyweight four rounder match featuring Miami Hurricanes football star Quadtrine Hill (1-0, 1 Kos) against Oakland’s Yohan Banks (3-4) . Plus, Las Vegas lightweight Renell Griffin (6-2, 2 KOs) will face Californian boxer Khadaphi Proctor (5-5) in a four round fight.
The world championship will air live to all of Mexico and Latin America via Televisa, as well as on Pay Per View in the United States. The event will be distributed by Integrated Sports Media for live viewing at 10 PM/ET – 10 PM/ET, 7 PM/PT on both cable and satellite pay-per-view for a suggested retail price of only $24.95. For tickets, priced from $25 to $75, please visit the Las Vegas Hilton Box Office. Doors open at 6:00pm and the first bell rings at 6:30pm PST. The Televisa and PPV broadcast begins at 7:00pm.
