Road 2 Recovery to hold fifth annual Charity Poker Tournament at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino

Road 2 Recovery foundation has informed that its fifth annual Charity Poker Tournament will return to Las Vegas on October 8th for another session of poker at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

The Road 2 Recovery Poker Tournament will coincide with the US Open of Supercross, all proceeds will go to Road 2 Recovery, a non-profit organization dedicated to help injured AMA-licensed professional motocross and supercross athletes. Road 2 Recovery foundation was created by Supercross competitor Jimmy Button in the fall of 2000 after breaking his neck in a motorcycle crash that left him paralyzed for several months. After months of rehabilitation, Button regained the ability to walk and move and now works to help other riders who suffer serious injuries.

As its previous four editions, the event will give participants the chance to play with the pros while competing for a $10,000 seat to the Sports Legends Challenge Poker Tournament, as well as other great prizes. The tournament entry is $200 dollars, and re-buys are $100. Both professional poker players and professional motocross riders are expected to be in attendance. Last year’s event gathered motor sports stars and poker pros at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, including Supercross celebrities Josh Grant, Grant Langston and Jason Thomas, along with professional snowboarder and world halfpipe champion Jeff Brushie, Olympic medalist and two-time X Games champion Ross Powers, professional snowboarder Kris Swierz and FullTiltPoker.com representatives Andy Bloch, Jeff Madsen, Jennifer Harman, Roy Winston, Marco Traniello and Karina & Chip Jett.

The official guest list and other details of the event will be released in the upcoming weeks.
