Riviera Hotel and Casino enhances its service with Passkey management technology

The Riviera Hotel and Casino, one of the most legendary hotels in Las Vegas, has recently announced its decision to install Passkey's online group management technology across its group business. With the implementation of this new system, the Riviera will be able to reorganize and enhance its technology and reduce its group reservation costs by automating its room list process and sending pre-arrival email campaigns informing its customers about room upgrades, special offers and new hotel amenities.

"We are reinventing our image to attract new group business. We needed an upgrade in our group technology and wanted to offer the best. In light of the economic uncertainty, it is imperative to stay ahead of the game to compete with the big boys. Passkey was the natural choice: It is proven to boost a hotel's group business and is becoming a standard that many planners expect hotels to offer." said Ed Coffey, vice president of convention sales at the Riviera.

With the introduction of Passkey, the Riviera will be able to move a large portion of its reservations to the automated online system, which also offers guests a peek of all the available options, including the newly renovated rooms. But besides the cost savings, Riviera will be able to advertise its offering deals on room upgrades, extended stays promotions, entertainment, shows, events and restaurants, which gives the property an opportunity to increase its revenues.

Customers and group guests will also have the ability to track and manage their events online via live event dashboards and book their hotel online, as well as learn about what Riviera has to offer. The Riviera Hotel will also be the first hotel on the Las Vegas Strip to install the 2-way version of the Passkey/Agilysys LMS interface. Passkey will be available fully operating at the Riviera by the end of January 2009.

"We are glad that the Riviera Hotel and Casino will be able to use Passkey to maximize the growth and profitability of their group business. Particularly with the major innovations that Passkey has launched over the past year, the Riviera will have a strong opportunity to generate significant incremental revenue, reduce costs and win new group business." said Greg Pesik, president and CEO of Passkey.
