Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton arrives to LV to prepare for World Title fight vs. Paulie Malignaggi

British boxer Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton has arrived to Las Vegas late last week to continue his preparation for his fight against New York's Paulie "The Magic Man" Malignaggi at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on November 22nd, 2008.  Hatton, changed his trainer earlier this year, choosing the experienced Floyd Mayweather, Sr. as the new man in charge, Hatton will finish his last weeks of training in Las Vegas, a place he is familiar with after having fought his last three fights in SinCity.

"It's great to be back in Las Vegas and get down to business with Floyd Mayweather, Sr. for my fight against Malignaggi on November 22nd. It's great to be back in Las Vegas and get down to business with Floyd Mayweather, Sr. Floyd was with me in Manchester and we are already comfortable working with each other.  He's a great trainer and everything feels great.  It's the best two junior welterweights in the world and it should make for a great fight." said Hatton.

Hatton (44-1, 31 KOs) counts with 11 years boxing experience in where the 140 pound category fighter has defeated big names in the sport including Kostya Tszyu, Vince Phillips, Luis Collazo, Jose Luis Castillo and Juan Urango. His only reverse happened last year against Floyd Mayweather, however, the 29-year-old recovered his natural weight of 140 pounds in May to score another visctory over Juan Lazcano.

On the opposite corner, Paulie Maglinaggi (25-1, 5 KOs)  has also created a reputation as a combative and strong fighter, the 27 year old boxer from Brooklyn, NY, has a list of won combats that includes Miguel Cotto in 2006 as well as victory vs. Lovemore N'dou in 2007 in where he won the IBF Junior Welterweight World crown.  Since then, Malignaggi has defended his title against Herman Ngoudjo and in a rematch against N'dou, but a victory over Hatton is what would consolidate his career and status as one of the best fighters in his category.

Hatton is a big time favorite to win this match, however, this is boxing and we all know that anything can happen any in second. However, every casino and sportsbetting site has favored the “Hitman” over Malignaggi by a considerable difference. BodogLife Sportsbook  listed Hatton at -205 and Malignaggi +165, BetUS.com listed Hatton at -130 and Malignaggi at +290 to win by Decision or Technical Decision, Bookmaker.com listed Hatton as favorite to win the fight at -245 and Malignaggi at +195, and finally Sportsbook.com odds has Hatton at -275 while Malignaggi shows as a big time underdog at +215.

The IBO Junior Welterweight title battle is presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Punch Promotions and DiBella Entertainment, and sponsored by Affliction Clothing and Cerveza Tecate.  The world title bout will air live on HBO's World Championship Boxing.
