- 2-28-2008
PokerTime.com
has gained a lot of attention among the online poker community for giving all
its players the chance to win seats for some major land based poker tournaments
and 2008 is not the exception. A total of 30 PokerTime
players were awarded with seats at the South African Poker Open in February
2008 as they enjoyed nine days of Tuscan luxury at the five stars Palazzo
Hotel. The tournament took place in
the Montecasino Entertainment Complex in Johannesburg and featured R 7.5 million in
prizes.
Four Poker Time players advanced to the main event with two of them qualifying for the final table in third and eighth place. A smart deal made by one player took him to share the first prize in the NL Freeze out. Together with the main event and NL freeze out, anOmaha
re-buy was added to the game selection. Topping off the world class tournaments,
this was an excellent value for players who took part at the cash tables. Players
also had the chance to experiment some amazing South African attractions and
activities such as horseback safaris, lion encounters and catching up with the
South African cultures and people on a tour of Soweto ,
one of South Africa ’s
