The 2009 World Championship of Online Poker will take place from September 5th to 20th. This year’s series will feature a guaranteed combined prize pool of $40,000,000 and will offer a total of 45 events, including three High Roller events, several H.O.R.S.E, Omaha and Badugi events and the $10,000,000 guaranteed Limit Hold’em Main Event. The 2009 edition will also feature new tournaments such as a new $109 no-limit Hold’em tournament with a $1 million-guaranteed prize pool, as well innovative new formats, including the $215 “big ante” no-limit Hold’em tournament.

 

Besides a larger schedule of events and a much bigger prizepool, the 2009 WCOOP will introduce some new features this year, including faster dealing compared to previous series, synchronized breaks for its events, and new payout and blinds structures.
