  • 8-13-2009
The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour (EPT) has released the official schedule of events for its London Poker Festival, which is set to run from September 30th to  October 7th, 2009 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel. The event will be the largest Festival ever held by the PokerStars EPT Poker, and will feature 16 separate events scheduled, including the return of the popular three-day EPT London £20k High Roller, the first-ever £2k European 8-Game Championship, and numerous lower buy-in events, including a £500 8-Game event, a £1k Pot Limit Omaha High-Low event, a £1k No Limit 6-Max event and a £2k PLO event.

"The PokerStars.com EPT London Poker Festival will have a rich mix of games and buy-ins to cater to the most players possible in a compelling schedule - by poker players, for poker players. This continues on the fundamental programming shift made for last season's EPT Grand Final where we tried to create the best opportunity for all our players, not just higher-rollers, to play a wide mix of poker games and formats at a variety of accessible buy-ins." said European Poker Tour's  Chief Executive John Duthie.

Last year almost 600 players competed in the PokerStars EPT London Main Event, with first-place winner Michael Martin of the USA taking home a £1 million prize (Aprox. $1.8 million). This year the event's organizers are expecting a field of 800 players, which can create an estimated overall prize pool of £4 million ($7.2 million).

Online satellites for the PokerStars EPT London Poker Festival are running now on PokerStars, with buy-ins from as little as $2.22 or 111 FPPs. Qualified players will get a pack comprised of trhe Main Event Buy in, hotel accommodation (or cash equivalent) and spending money.
