PokerStars.net and Asia Pacific Poker Tour have released the schedule for the third season of its Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT). The APPT Season 3 includes five stops and it is expected to bring thousands of amateur and professional poker players for a unique tournament series set in some of the most stunning locations in the region.

 

Season 2 of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour was a huge success, attracting 1,772 of the region’s best poker players and awarding nearly $5,000,000 in prize money. In its second year, The Asia Pacific Poker Tour set records for both the largest number of participants and prize pool ever in Asia. The tournament’s finale in Sydney featured a star studded Main Event field that included Team PokerStars Pros Joe Hachem and Chris Moneymaker as well as 2008 World Series of Poker Main event winner Peter Eastgate.

 

Season 3 will make stops in Macau, Seoul, Auckland, The Philippines and Sydney with increased tournament capacities. APPT Season 3 begins in Macau on August 24^th at the Grand Lisboa, home to the prestigious PokerStars Macau Poker Room. From there, the APPT will move to Seoul, Auckland and Cebu in the Philippines before its Grand Finale set to kick off on December 1st in Sydney, Australia.
