Poker Room launches 8-Bit Monster Promo

Poker Room’s new promotion will award players who hit “8-bit Monsters†with instant cash prizes between $5 and $1,000. These “monsters†are particular hands and game situations; if a player comes across them during a cash game then the prize will be instantly deposited into his/her account. In addition, any player that collects 4 “monsters†will also win the accumulated $5,000 Jackpot. If nobody hits the jackpot during the week, the PokerRoom.com will add another $5,000 until a player finally hits it.
PokerRoom’s 8-bit monsters hands and plays are the following:
Hey Presto -Any player who’s dealt pocket 5s and make a three of a kind twice in 3 days will receive $5.
Ace Cracker - $10 – Pocket pairs between 2s and 10s that eventually beat a pair of A’s will pay $10.
Dire Straights -Any player who gets a big straight that beats a little straight twice in 2 days receives $15.
Boatman - Players that get a pocket pair and score a Full House and beat a flush will get $20.
Flusher Crusher - A straight flush that beats another flush during a hand will pay $25.
Double Trouble – Players who’re dealt a pocket pair, between 2 and 10 that beat a pocket pair of A’s twice in 3 days will get $50.
King Killer -Players who beat a set of Kings with four A’s win $500.
Half man half fish - Players who get a pocket pair, call another player’s all in and hit 4 of a kind will receive $1000.
