Poker pros and celebrities team up for event benefiting Paralyzed Veterans of America

High-stakes poker players, politicians and sports, movie and entertainment celebrities will gather this week in Washington DC to take part in a special poker tournament benefiting Paralyzed Veterans of America (Paralyzed Veterans).
The event is set for Wednesday March 3rd at 7 pm at the Grand Hyatt, 1000 H Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. Celebrities attending this event include actor Ben Affleck, poker pros Andy Bloch, Lee Childs, Kenna "Cowboy" James, Linda Johnson and professional poker player and Poker Hall Of Fame Inductee Mike Sexton, who will also serve as host for this event. The grand prize is a $10,000 seat at the World Series of Poker in July in Las Vegas.
The event's sponsors include Walmart, Poker Players Alliance, Reynolds America, Orchestrate Technology, Merkle, Data Management Inc. and Midwest Direct Mailers. The Poker Tournament and Silent Auction will feature a general reception, hors d'oeuvres, a poker clinic and other events.
All proceeds from the poker tournament and silent auction will benefit Paralyzed Veterans of America, a nonprofit organization founded 63 years ago by World War II veterans, and dedicated to bring help and relief to injured soldiers and people with disabilities.
