Poker journalist Amanda Leatherman joins North American Poker Tour team

PokerStars.net and the North American Poker Tour are pleased to announce that Amanda Leatherman will serve as host for the NAPT Live web broadcast on of the tour. Leatherman will provide web surfers watching the event with player interviews, table coverage and live updates.

Leatherman, a well known contributor for PokerRoad, began her career with Pokerwire in 2006 as on site reporter. A few years later, she moved to PokerNews to work as a live tournament reporter and on-air correspondent. Leatherman also was a poker TV hostess on Fox Sports Network (FSN).
The first annual North American Poker Tour, sponsored by Poker Stars, was launched in January 2010 at the PokerStars.net Caribbean Adventure at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. The second stop for the NAPT is underway, with a multiple event series in at the Venetian Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
The NAPT recently signed an exclusive deal with ESPN2 to broadcast the NAPT events starting on April 2010. The TV broadcast will feature 16 one hour episodes covering the best moments of the tour, as well as multiple reruns. TV broadcast on ESPN2 will be hosted by poker player and 'Dancing with the Stars' participant, Joanna Krupa.
