Wizards', is an appealing poker book written by Warwick Dunnett
and published by Cardoza Books in 2008, that compiles and compares different
strategies, insights and winning tactics from some of the most successful poker
players in the world. The book covers topics such as the five most important
characteristics of a successful poker professional, when to be aggressive and
when to be a passive player, starting hand strategies for No-Limit Texas
Hold'em, how to manage your bankroll at the table for maximum long term
profitability and favorite tells and how to expose bluffers and other tricky
players on the poker table.
The book’s
author introduces readers to a
series of subjects and situations that can make the difference between an ordinary
and a successful player, Poker Wizards also explore the different approaches and
strategies used by professional players by comparing their opinion on how to
deal with certain situations while playing poker.
The book includes several chapters dedicated to poker tactics and strategies from ten No-limit Hold'em champions Daniel Negreanu, Chris “Jesus†Ferguson, Dan Harrington, T.J Cloutier, Marcel Luske, Mel Judah, Mike Sexton and Kathy Liebert, in where the players discuss about their personal experience and how to success in the highly competitive world of professional poker. “Poker Wizards†also offers a bonus chapter on 'Poker Tells' by world famous body language specialist Marc Salem in where he explains to interpret and recognize physical gestures and gesticulations.
