When you walk in you slip into a feeling that resembles the old Rat-Pack days. The nostalgic feeling can be sensed in every single detail at the bar, starting with the circular seats, fake floral foliage, low neon, and electric candles as well as the other kitsch elements present at bar’s the decoration. The drink menu is pretty vast, the drink prices are cheap and the selection of appetizers is great and counts with great dishes such as crab cakes, shrimps, ribs, mozzarella sticks, nachos, chicken strips, etc. I would say if you’re looking for a upbeat, loud atmosphere then this is not the right bar for you, but if your looking for a very cool and relaxed atmosphere with some soft jazz playing, this is the place to be. Once your there and ready to order a drink I would suggest that you should have a Scorpion at some point, but of course if you are being a bit nostalgic, which you should be by this point, I would go for a little Bourbon and a couple of stones (ice). No need to shake it James Bond Style. Open 24 hours, the Peppermill Fireside Lounge is definitely a must visit at some point on your Las Vegas Vacation.
