Penthouse Magazine, the famous adult magazine funded by Bob Guccione, has revealed its plans to invest on a Las Vegas strip hotel exclusively created after the adult men's magazine, Penthouse's head officer said. Penthouse CEO, Marc Bell expressed last week that Penthouse brand is considering buying a “significant property” on the Las Vegas Strip and joining the hotel and casino industry.

"The best time to buy is in a down economy. We have no intention to rebrand the name of the hotel. We would like to see a Penthouse casino presence and a Penthouse pool presence." Bell said.

Bell said he has sustained conversations with several hotel owners and operators to find the right property on the Strip. He says Penthouse wants "a place where we can have the most impact ... only if it would be a significant property." Bell said that adding a Las Vegas hotel to the Penthouse Empire would significantly help the brand, which has already entered the Internet and cable television sectors. Penthouse websites have over 200 million members, including a considerable number of members in Europe and Asia. Penthouse also launched a cable television network in January and already has signed more than 30 million affiliates, with another 30 million expected to acquire a membership in 2009.
