PBR announces bulls competing for 2009 World Champion Bull Title

Professional Bull Riders officials have announced the list of bulls competing for the World Champion Bull title at the 2009 PBR World Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This year's contest will feature several changes, including more competitors, and an open voting process. For several years, only the top five bulls competed for the title, but for the first time in PBR history, a total of 11 bulls will enter the competition this year.
2008 World Champion bull, Bones, will return to Las Vegas to try to defend the title. The last bull to successfully defend his World Champion title was Little Yellow Jacket, who won in 2002-2004. Here are the bulls competing 2009 Title:
Apollo, owned by Box K Cattle
Big Tex, owned by Dakota Rodeo/Clay Struve
Black Pearl, owned by Ravenscroft/Boyd-Floyd Bull Co.
Bones, owned by Teague Bucking Bulls, LLC
Chicken on a Chain, owned by Jeff Robinson/Mike Tedesco/Larry the Cable Guy/Bar None*
Code Blue, owned by Walton & Wagoner/Berger & Struve
Crosswired, owned by D&H Cattle Co./Clifton Wiggins**

Fans will have the chance to vote in one of the contenders while the top 40 bull riders in the world voted for eight and PBR's Livestock Director selected the final bull.
The 2009 World Champion Bull will be determined by the bull that gets the highest total score during the 2009 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas. The winner will be crowned on Sunday, November 8th right after the final round.
The 2009 PBR World Finals will take place from October 30th to November 1st and from November 5th to 8th at the Thomas & Mack Center. To buy or reserve tickets, please call 866.PBR.SHOW or visit WDIAV Tickets section.
