Officers of the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas have recently informed that the ex Beatle and famous British musician and composer, Sir Paul McCartney will be in charge of opening the new Joint with a fantastic live show scheduled on April 19th.  The Joint, Hard Rock’s famous concert and show venue, will close its doors this weekend after the legendary Glam rockers Motley Crue pay their tribute to the old Joint with two special shows running over the weekend. The Joint, which was built in 1995, will be turned into casino space and replaced with a new $60 million project located in a parking lot on the east side of the property along Paradise Road.
ÂÂ
"Ironically, in that parking lot, we had done multiple outdoor concerts" says Hard Rock Hotel & Casino VP of entertainment Paul Davis.
ÂÂ
The new concert venue is part of Hard Rock's $800 million expansion in Vegas, the new Joint will be twice the size of the old venue and feature capacity for +4000 people, the new Joint will also include new state-of-the-art lighting and sound, and seven suites reserved for VIP customers. The Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel expansion works also includes two new hotel towers, as well as new restaurants, retail and entertainment space.
ÂÂ
"This
is not a remodel or a refurbishment of the original Joint. It's a brand-new
building. We needed a bigger venue to accommodate the type of acts that this
property has an appetite for. It just makes it a lot more palatable to do those
acts in a room that has arena-level production capabilities and a bigger
capacity." added
Besides
McCartney, other acts have been confirmed to perform at the new Joint, but
