Party Poker launches qualifiers for Premier League IV event in Las Vegas
- 12-17-2009
PartyPoker.com has introduced online qualifiers for its fourth annual PartyPoker.com Premier League IV, set to take place in Las Vegas on February, 2010. The online poker site is offering players a number of different ways to qualify for a seat at this event, including daily satellites available from as little as $2.
Right after the end of the promotion, 16 players will fly to Las Vegas to take part in a Premier League Poker play-off to see which one of the 16 will be lucky enough to join 11 professional poker players in the Premier League Poker IV. Online qualifiers will play a short series of play-off sit & go's in Las Vegas and the eventual winner will get a $100,000 buy-in to take part in the main Premier League event, in where he/she will play against 11 world-famous pros for a prize pool of more than $1.5 million. Both the play-off and the main event will be filmed for TV and aired in several countries around the world.
"One amazing element of this promotion that provides a truly fantastic opportunity is that one of the 16 qualifiers will be chosen by Party Poker to receive a $100,000 Team Party contract to be a sponsored player. This decision will be made by PartyPoker within two weeks after the event takes place. We will only get a flavour of who we want to sponsor once we have had a chance to meet and interact with the 16 players that make it out to Las Vegas." said a PartyPoker.com spokesman.
Party’s Palladium Lounge players can qualify for the event in a points race awarding three $9,000 packs. Each pack offers seven nights in a luxury Las Vegas hotel, $2,000 spending money and a $6,250 seat in the Premier League play-off where the winner will get a $100,000 buy-in to the Premier League IV, as well as a $100,000 contract to represent PartyPoker for one year.
