Barbie, the famous fashion doll created by Ruth Handler in 1959 and popularized world wide by Mattel Inc, will have a new dream house in Las Vegas thanks to a new Malibu Dream House Suite set up at The Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, which is exclusively created to celebrate Barbie's 50th birthday.
The suite was conceived by the famed “Happy Chic†interior designer Jonathan Adler, with the idea of making the ultimate Las Vegas destination for bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthdays and any guest willing to pay $4000 a night for this hot pink suite.
The 2,350 square feet suite has capacity for 50 people and features more commodities and luxuries than any dream house originally designed for Barbie and her friends. The fantasy room offers guests more than a play pen for very eccentric customers, the room has an extra large Jacuzzi tub, lace-up “dress†chairs, a two-way fireplace, a sunburst mirror made from 65 reprodcution1959 Black & White Bathing Suit Barbie dolls, custom wall coverings and one-of-a kind decoration and artwork from the Barbie Loves Jonathan Adler's exclusive home décor collection.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Palms on this. The Palms is a space known for fantasy, glitz and glamor and all the things Barbie loves. It’s full of eye candy, glitter all the things that Barbie really loves. It was actually designed by Jonathan Adler whose aesthetic is very happy, chic so it is a perfect marriage for Barbie†said Stephanie Cota, Senior Vice President of Barbie Marketing.
