Palazzo Resort unveils its Winter Wonderland holiday decor
The Palazzo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas has officially welcomed the holiday season with the grand opening of its Winter Wonderland display unveiled yesterday during a special celebration held at the resort's Waterfall atrium.ÂÂ
The Arctic themed display features a 16-foot tall mother and 6-foot tall baby polar bear made using approximately 10,000 white poinsettias and surrounded by other elements such as silver tip pine trees; oversized pine cones, holiday berries, lights; a sea of cranberries and snow falling over the “Polar Bears†.
The white “Polar Bear†Poinsettias was created by Ecke Ranch with the idea of sending a message raise awareness about polar bears and the loss of their Arctic habitat due to climate change. Ranch is donating a portion of the proceeds from each poinsettia cutting sold to Polar Bears International (PBI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the worldwide conservation of polar bears through research and education.
The “Polar Bear†will be on display at the Palazzo Resort's Waterfall Atrium through the New Year.
