Online poker site 888 PacificPoker.com is announcing the introduction of a new and unique promotion that will give poker players the chance to win a seat in the highly exclusive Cannes Charity Poker Event, a private charity tournament set toke place during the world famous Cannes Film Festival.

 

The event is scheduled to take place on May 19^th, 2009, the high tournaments is expected to attract the best pokers and movie celebrities, including actors Ben Affleck and Matt Damon , who have already confirmed their presence at this year’s event.  The winner of the Cannes Charity Poker Event will get a luxurious beach house in Durban, South Africa.

For players who do not have the time to accumulate the necessary points, there will be a $160 buy-in satellite event on May 7th, in where the top three finishers will receive a seat to the online qualifier event.
