Ozzy Osbourne confirms show during the MMA Affliction II event in Vegas

The Godfather of heavy metal and one of the most infamous and legendary singers, Ozzy Osbourne, has confirmed that he will perform live at Affliction “Day of Reckoning” on Saturday, October 11th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. This will be the first time the Affliction mixed martial arts event is presented in Las Vegas. The event will be sponsored by Roy Englebrecht Events, Donald J. Trump, and Affliction Entertainment in association with Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

The first Affliction event, "Banned," featured musical performances by the heavy metal band Megadeth, which performed in front of thousands during the fighters introductions during several breaks in between fights

“To bring the ‘Godfather of Heavy Metal’ to our event is a dream come true. An incredible fight card combined with Ozzy’s live performance, our fight in Las Vegas will be an unforgettable event.” said Tom Atencio, vice president of Affliction Entertainment

With a career that started about four decades ago, Ozzy has released more than 20 solo albums including his most recent record called “Black Rain”. Ozzy has released a few dozen hits during his solo career including “Shot in the Dark “Crazy Train”, “No More Tears” and “Mamma I’m Coming Home.” Only a few years ago, Ozzy and his family became some of the most popular TV characters thanks to the reality show “The Osbournes” on MTV.

“Every performance needs a little blood. I look forward to seeing the fighters get roughed up a bit. Performing in Las Vegas is always a good time.” said Ozzy Osbourne.

Affliction “Day of Reckoning” in Las Vegas will also feature the WAMMA Heavyweight elimination match between Andrei Arlovski vs. Josh Barnett. Other fighters featured at the Las Vegas event  will include Matt Lindland, a native of Oregon City, Oregon; International Fight League light heavyweight champion Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira; Mike “Quicksand” Pyle battling with Jason High and Las Vegas native Roy “Big Country” Nelson vs. Paul "The Headhunter" Buentello.
