North American Poker Tour adds $25,000 Bounty Shootout to NAPT Venetian
- 2-4-2010
The North American Poker Tour sponsored by PokerStars.com has just announced a new event for the upcoming stop at the Venetian Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The NAPT tournament will include a $25,000 Invitational High Roller Bounty Shootout featuring a standard no-limit Texas Hold'em game, but with a couple of exciting extras.
Every player registered for this event will have a $5,000 bounty on his head, giving participants the chance to earn extra cash. And to make things even more interesting, PokerStars will pay an additional $100,000 prize to the player who scores the most bounties. Every player who makes it to the final table will get $50,000. The remaining prize pool, less the $50,000 per finalist and $5,000 bounty per head, will goe to the tournament's winner.
The $25,000 Bounty Shootout will run on February 23 and 25 at the Venetian's Poker Room. The NAPT Venetian event will run February 20th to 24th and will also serve as the Main Event for the resort’s popular Deep Stack Extravaganza tournament series.
"We want to try new things, different formats, and unique events that make our players happy. This is sure to be a hit with both our players and the people who watch on television." said PokerStars' head of global events Jeffrey Haas.
Players can enter any of the online satellites currently running on PokerStars and win a seat at the NAPT Venetian for just $2.22 or a few VPPs. For more information, please visit PokerStars.com.
