Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is glad to announce that NFL legend and Heisman Trophy winner Paul Hornung will be signing free autographs on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 in the Tropicana's Celebration Lounge between noon and 2 p.m.
Hornung, Heisman Trophy and MVP award winner, is known as one of the most versatile players in the NFL history, having played halfback, quarterback and placekicker. Nicknamed the Golden Boy during his tenure at the University of Notre Dame, Hornung rapidly moved into the NFL as a first-round draft pick by the Green Bay Packers. He was named All-Pro twice and went on to win four league championships with the Packers including the very first Super Bowl in 1967. In addition to the honors previously mentioned, Paul Hornung was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Also, the "Paul Hornung Award" is given out annually to the state of Kentucky’s top high school player.
Right after Hornung's autograph session at the Celebration Lounge, NFL fans congregated at the Tropicana Las Vegas will have the chance to celebrate the biggest game of the season and watch every play of the Saints vs. Colts action on big screen TV's throughout the casino while they enjoy a variety of food and drink specials.
"We are honored to host one of football's all-time greatest players and thrilled that a player of his caliber will be part of our Big Game event. This is one of many exciting offerings to come as we continue to infuse our sports and entertainment programming with unique and enjoyable events." said Tropicana Las Vegas Casino Manager Chuck Esposito.
