New York-New York hotel kicks off Vinny vs. Vinny competition
The New York-New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is holding a highly unique contest to find a 'Vinny' spokesman for resort. The competition kicked off yesterday with a brief ceremony and press conference held at the New York New York Hotel, in where two two finalists – the Red Vinny and the Blue Vinny, were introduced to the public and media.Right after the press conference, the two contestants engaged in a series of Vinny vs. Vinny competitions, including a Nathan’s Hot Dog eating competition, a Rascal scooter race around the Center Bar, a dance-off at Rok Vegas and a belly-flop contest in the hotel's pool.
The New York New York hotel will host three days of contests in several areas of the property between October 20th and November 6th to determine who will become new ambassador. The competitions include a video game battle, a sports trivia contest and standup comedy. The winner of this contest will "serve as the hotel's spokesman and will interact with guests and provide them with information about the hotel.
"Vinny" will be irreverent and give guests information with "true New York attitude." commented New York-New York Chief Operating Officer Cynthia Kiser Murphy.
