New Year's Eve parties in Las Vegas

On December 31st the Las Vegas will explode in joy when some of biggest and most exclusive parties and celebrations kick on the Las Vegas Strip.  The streets will get crowded with thousands of visitors and locals gathered to enjoy the midnight fireworks exploding over the buildings and to celebrate in the dozens of showrooms, clubs and lounges filled with top grade entertainers and performers.

As every year since its creation, the city of Las Vegas will feature an amazing firework display planned to kick off after the New Year countdown, but instead of shooting all the fireworks from the top of the hotels and resorts, this year, many of the fireworks will be launched from several parking garages and empty lots near the Strip. Pat Christenson, president of Las Vegas Events, said the plan for this year is to launch the fireworks about 300 feet closer from the Strip, making the streets more crowded than ever. According to the Las Vegas, Convention and Visitor Authority, over 300,000 visitors expected to travel to Las Vegas to join the New Year celebrations, the vehicular traffic on the Las Vegas Strip will be restricted and the Las Vegas Monorail will be the only public transportation operating on New Years Eve with trains running all night and until 3:00 a.m.

But beside the highly expected fireworks, here's a quick view of what it’s going to happen in Las Vegas on December 31st. New Years Eve will mark the grand opening of XS, the exclusive Las Vegas nightclub located inside Steve Wynn's new Encore resort scheduled to open its doors for the first time on December 31st at 9:00 p.m. Guests will have the chance to enjoy an exclusive open bar from 9p.m. to 10p.m and special guest appearances expected to heat up the New Year.

Visitors can also enjoy a special Hors D'oeuvres menu created by Chef David Burke and a strip-side patio offering one of the best views on the Stript enjoy the midnight fireworks.
