Maroon 5 to perform New Year's Eve concert at Palms Resort

Live Nation and Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas have announced that Pop/Rock band Maroon 5 will join the resort's New Year celebrations by playing a special holiday show at the Pearl Concert Theater on Thursday, December 31st. In addition, “How I Met Your Mother†actor and musician Jason Segel will make a special appearance to perform a few songs during the show.
Since the release of their first studio album “Songs about Jane†in 2002, Maroon 5 quickly became one of the most popular bands of the 2000s, thanks to hits such as "This Love," "She Will Be Loved," and "Makes Me Wonder", all topping the charts worldwide. In 2007 they released It Won’t Be Soon Before Long (2007), which included the single “Makes Me Wonder,†recorded at The Studio inside the Palms Resort in Las Vegas. Due the overwhelming success of its second album, the band reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group in 2008. The band is currently working in their third studio album, which is set to hit the record stores in 2010.
