Malta Poker Events announces Poker Seminar and Gaming Expo 2009

Malta Poker Events has scheduled a Seminar and Gaming Expo set for April 2009 aimed at amateur poker players looking to enter the professional poker circuit and online gaming companies interested in expanding their businesses and services. The Seminar and Expo are both scheduled on April 18th and 19th, 2009 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, the event is expected to attract poker players and gaming operators for a weekend that includes seminars and discussion groups, networking and exposure to key operators in the online gaming and online poker industries.

The Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta is one of largest conference venues on the Maltese islands, and has been selected for the event thanks to its modern facilities and excellent location. During the Expo; visitors will have the opportunity to check the latest products offered by gaming operators, service providers and third party companies. Speakers and exhibitors will gather in the 18,000 sq ft Sacra Infermeria hall where exhibition stands setup by online gaming operators and service providers will serve as point of meeting for visitors and business associates. A dedicated interactive area will also be setup, and this will give exhibitors a space where they may interact between them as well as with expo speakers and key industry officials.

The poker seminar is expected to draw poker players of all skill levels who are interested in getting all the necessary information to improve their skills. The seminar will cover topics such as live and online poker games, strategy, poker tells, taking advantage of the available resources, and responsible gaming. Seminar attendees will also have the opportunity to play a free-roll tournament following the seminar, in where they can put their new skills in practice against other players.

"The game of poker has picked up significantly on the Maltese Islands, and, considering that locally this area has not been explored at an educational level, we have decided to offer a dedicated event aimed directly at players" said spokespersons Mark Cassar and Etienne Licari.
