Live Like a Rock Star Playing Poker
- 8-12-2007
- Categorized in: Las Vegas
If you were alive in the 80s you likely wanted to be Eddie Van Halen or possibly Randi Rhodes, legendary guitar player for Ozzy Osbourne and the Blizzard of Oz. Living like a rock star with the life, the girls, the car, the jewelry, and the money of excessive fame was every young man's dream and every girl wanted to be with the long-haired embodiment of the rock 'n roll lifestyle. But in the modern day you are likely to ignore Justin Timberlake in favor of the rock stars of the 21st century, poker players. High rollers and high-stakes gamblers take up the nation's consciousness  loop in a level that poker players of the past have never even considered, with television shows and specials that cover the competition of poker against other players all over the world. Fans wait for hours to meet with their idols just like a rock star and his groupies and the poker players certainly have all the money.
ÂÂ
The life of a rock star doesn't compare with the poker player as you can't compete with living in Vegas in a private castle while driving around in a Mercedes-Benz to all your poker matches in town and having a good time living it up. It seems like a pretty decent life.
ÂÂ
The amounts of money that high rollers generate are absolutely ridiculous and compared with even the best of rock stars, the poker player still comes out looking pretty good, considering they're not touring the world on a daily basis living out of a suitcase. The lifestyles more than make up for any of the other perks that poker players might miss out on in the rockstar lifestyle. Considering your job consists of driving to a poker match on a regular basis, it doesn't get much better than that with over a hundred full-time poker players worth more than a million dollars each, the poker playing lifestyle apparently has its benefits in the amount of cash that you can earn.
ÂÂ
Similar to rock stars, in the world of high-stakes poker and gambling celebrity, less than attractive guys can be seen with beautiful stunning supermodels that they would not be seen in the same room with if they did not have their tremendous bankrolls. These beautiful stunning trophies of the poker players skills aren't very likely to hang around with anyone that doesn't roll with the pros and throw large bills down at the table.
