Limp Bizkit to give free concert in Las Vegas

About a week after the UFC decided to cancel a preliminary show programmed to take place on July 11th at the Mandalay Bay, members of the rock band Limp Bizkit have announced that they have reached an agreement with the Palms Resort and Casino to reschedule the concert and that this time they’re going to perform for free.

The reunion performance will be the first in the U.S in more than eight years, as reported by the Las Vegas Sun, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst recently leaked details of the show on his Twitter account.

“Concert moved to July 18th at the Pearl” Durst posted to his Twitter page.

The band’s label, Interscope Records and the Palms Resort and Casino have already reached an agreement and made things official on a statement released last Monday. According to the event organizers, Limp Bizkit will perform at the Pearl Concert Theater on Saturday, July 18th. The concert is free and tickets will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis.

A spokesperson said that 2,500 tickets for the event will be given away on the night of the show but did not provide any further information. No details regarding gate or show times have been released, and it's still unclear exactly where fans should go to get their tickets. It is also unknown if there will be any age restrictions.

Since the show was canceled due problems with , the band has strongly criticized the UFC for using the band's name and reputation to attract people to UFC 100, and for calling off the show less than two weeks before it was set to take place. In a blog post, the band members said it was “unfair” to their fans and promised to reschedule their performance in Las Vegas.
