The Licensing International
Expo 2009 has teamed up with Onebox Productions, an acclaimed fashion show
production company, to create the first live fashion shows presented at the MandalayBayConvention Center in Las Vegas from June 2nd to 4th.
The runway shows will feature original clothes ranging from t-shirts and
sneakers to modern sportswear and high street fashion.
The three daily runway
shows held inside the Mandalay Bay Resort will take place within the 7th Avenue
Fashion Pavilion, an area on the show floor dedicated to fashion and apparel.
Exhibitors in this area include Beverly Hills Polo Club International LLC, Crew
Only Clothing Company, Monnalisa SPA, Skin Industries and Sonia Dixon. The
shows will run every day at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. The midday show will exclusively
feature an Expo exhibitor while the rest will feature exhibitors from the
worlds of fashion, entertainment, sports, lifestyle and more.  Produced by Onebox Productions, the daily
runways will give exhibitors the chance to show up their diverse apparel and
accessories offerings, while creating an appealing and interactive experience
for attendees, retailers and manufacturers.
“With annual global sales
expected to top $40 billion this year, demand for licensed apparel has never
been stronger. Whether its branded merchandise tied to Hollywood's hottest titles or a comprehensive
direct-to-retail collection from a major sports franchise, consumers continue
to take comfort in familiar celebrities, products and properties. Each year,
thousands of attendees come to Licensing International Expo looking to discover
'What's Next,' and the addition of the runway performances is only one of a
number of offerings to be introduced this June as a means of making that
experience even richer.†commented Georgiann Decenzo, Advanstar Communications
Executive Vice President.
Now in its 29th year,
Licensing International Expo 2009, which recently moved from New
York to Las Vegas, features nearly
600 exhibitors representing almost 7,000 brands and properties, including all
of the major Hollywood movie studios,
entertainment and TV companies, Fortune 500 firms, publishing giants, fashion
labels and cutting-edge artists and designers. Three new exhibit categories
will be also introduced at the 2009 Expo, showcasing the best of Sports,
Fashion, and Interactive brands. The show brings together top-level retail and
manufacturing executives from more than 82 countries, giving novel
manufacturers, companies and brands the opportunity to exhibit their products
and establish new business relationships with thousands of resellers, vendors
and distributors around the world.
